Airport Security Officers

Want to play a key role in keeping our Islands safe? As an Airport Security Officer, you will be an essential part of the team, ensuring the safety of people, property and aviation at the Cayman Islands Airports Authority. This is a hands-on role where teamwork, vigilance, and professionalism come together to ensure safe travel for all.

The post holder functions as part of a team whose primary responsibilities are to provide surveillance of and deter, detect and defend persons and property at airports in the Cayman Islands, in order to prevent any act of unlawful interference against civil aviation in the territory as dictated by CIAA policy and local and international requirements. The Airport Security Unit is responsible for ensuring all standard operating procedures and response standard operating procedures are effectively applied. 

Salary and benefits: Salary range is CI$42,444 – $57,036 and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include a contributory pension plan, paid vacation, health insurance and professional development opportunities

Marketing & Communications Officer

The role of the Marketing & Communications Officer assists with the effective delivery of marketing, communications and business development activities of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority of both Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) and Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA). 

The post-holder will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to promote the airports internally and externally, as well as ensuring all marketing activities are delivered to plan to create opportunities, deliver results and build brand awareness.

Salary and benefits: Salary range is CI$52,296 - CI$70,344 and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include a contributory pension plan, paid vacation, health insurance, and wellness days.

Student Air Traffic Controller

The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Student Air Traffic Controllers at Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) and Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA).

As a Student Air Traffic Controller, you will be required to complete an Air Traffic Control training course at a regulatory-approved training organisation and achieve a passing grade. Upon successful completion, you will obtain a Student Air Traffic Controller License, allowing you to provide Air Traffic Control Services. Your role will involve preventing collisions between aircraft operating within the Cayman Islands Terminal Control Area, as well as between aircraft, vehicles, and personnel within the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA) and Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) Control Zones.

Salary and benefits: Salary range: CI$42,444 – CI$57,036 per annum, with significant increases upon completion of training and certification as a Licensed Air Traffic Control Officer. Benefits include: A contributory pension plan, paid vacation, health insurance, and professional development opportunities.
