Service Road and Short-Term Parking Exit Work – Disruption in Service

18 August 2017

The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) would like to advise the public that traffic flow exiting short-term parking at the Owen Roberts International Airport will be disrupted starting on Monday, 21 August to facilitate ongoing road work outside short-term parking.  As a result, the service road and existing short-term parking exit will be closed temporarily, and motorists in this area will only be able to exit the terminal from the short-term parking east lane located opposite arrivals. Signs will be posted to direct traffic, and motorists are encouraged to exercise caution when leaving the airport. This construction work in the short-term parking area is expected to be completed in early October with improvements such as an additional exit lane, enhanced lighting and a pay kiosk located near the lanes.

The CIAA apologizes for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the public for their patience during the airport redevelopment project.
