We invite applications for the position of Aeronautical Information Services Officer/Meteorological Observer (CKIA). 

The Cayman Islands Airports Authority is seeking to recruit an Aeronautical Information Services Officer/Meteorological Observer for the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport, Cayman Brac. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the flow of information necessary for the safety, regularity and efficiency of international air navigation, through the interpretation and dissemination of Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) and pre-flight bulletins, flight plans, and other Air Traffic Services messages. Additionally, to accurately observe, record and disseminate hourly meteorological conditions, observe conditions for flight planning purposes and for preparing weather forecasts for public safety and general interest.

Salary and benefits: Salary range is CI$40,416 – $54,312 and the entry point along this range will be commensurate with experience, qualifications and other relevant attributes of the successful applicant. Benefits include a contributory pension plan, paid vacation, health insurance and professional development opportunities.

We invite applications for the position of Aeronautical Information Services Manager (ORIA). 

Reporting to the Chief Airport Operations Officer (CAAO), the Aeronautical Information Services Manager (AISM) is responsible for providing direct management and supervision for the AIS staff.  The AISM ensures all AIS functions are conducted in accordance with the Aerodrome Manual, AIS Manuals and other relevant manuals and ICAO and local aviation regulations as necessary. Responsibilities include staff deployment, assurance of systems and equipment availability and functionality, aeronautical billing and support of flight planning.

Salary and benefits: Salary range is CI$71,640 – $96,336 and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include a contributory pension plan, paid vacation, health insurance and professional development opportunities.

The post holder functions as part of a team whose primary responsibilities are to provide surveillance of and Deter, Detect and Defend persons and property at airports in the Cayman Islands, in order to prevent any act of unlawful interference against civil aviation in the territory as dictated by CIAA policy and local and international requirements. The Airport Security Unit is responsible for ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures and Response Standard Operating Procedures are effectively applied.

We invite applications for the position of CNS Manager.

The post-holder is responsible for the planning and assignment of work required by the CNS Section, necessary to support the functions of the CNS/ATM Systems, aviation Meteorological (MET), and other related systems.

The Manager CNS will ensure that the CNS technical and engineering standards at the CIAA meet or exceed International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Air Safety Support International (ASSI) standards and recommended practices. Manage and maintain aviation communication, navigation surveillance and MET equipment. Manage a team of technical and support staff. Ensure CNS customers receive the best possible service. The candidate will also be expected to create an environment of mentoring and training for suitably qualified young engineers.

The Cayman Islands Airports Authority is seeking to employ an ATCM who will be responsible to plan and manage the provision of Air Traffic Services within the jurisdiction of the Cayman Islands in accordance with local and international standards and recommended practices. The postholder will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Air Traffic Control team at (ORIA) with technical oversight /support for the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA).
