We believe that the Human Resources role is the most interesting and exciting one in any organization. It may be a cliché that people are an organization’s greatest asset, but no organization exists without people and nothing is achieved except through their efforts.
Our goal is to create a favourable work environment that supports human values, provide fair and equitable treatment of all employees, and encourage personal and professional growth to all our staff in support of the goals and objectives of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority.
The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Student Air Traffic Controllers at Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) and Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA).
As a Student Air Traffic Controller, you will be required to complete an Air Traffic Control training course at a regulatory-approved training organisation and achieve a passing grade. Upon successful completion, you will obtain a Student Air Traffic Controller License, allowing you to provide Air Traffic Control Services. Your role will involve preventing collisions between aircraft operating within the Cayman Islands Terminal Control Area, as well as between aircraft, vehicles, and personnel within the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA) and Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) Control Zones.
Working under the supervision of a fully qualified Air Traffic Controller with an onthe-job training instructor endorsement, you will deliver Air Traffic Control Services. Additionally, you will provide an alerting service to aircraft and coordinate emergency responses for aircraft in distress.
Salary and benefits: Salary range: CI$42,444 - $57,036 per annum, with significant increases upon completion of training and certification as a Licensed Air Traffic Control Officer. Benefits include: A contributory pension plan, paid vacation, health insurance, and professional development opportunities.
